Series Introduction

An optical material system that changes as the product moves.

Photonic Series is Carbonaurum’s advanced optical-effect forged carbon fiber system. Its visual response is created by combining a photonic-crystal direction with the irregular depth and distribution of forged carbon.

The result is more dynamic than conventional colored forged carbon: different viewing angles and lighting conditions can reveal changing spectral tones across the same material surface.

This page describes the design and sourcing value of the system without disclosing confidential formulas, processing parameters or patent-sensitive manufacturing details.

Visual Characteristics

Light, angle and carbon distribution create the experience.

Representative samples should be reviewed under the lighting and surface finish planned for the final product. Appearance is intentionally dynamic rather than a single fixed color.

01

Angle-Responsive Color

Reflections can shift as the viewing angle changes, giving a finished part a more active visual identity.

02

Spectral Layering

Blue, violet, crimson, emerald and gold directions may appear across representative material samples.

03

Forged-Carbon Depth

Irregular carbon distribution adds depth and variation so the optical response does not read like a printed graphic.

Series & Collections

Photonic Series is the technology system. Spectrum is its visual Collection.

This distinction preserves Carbonaurum’s existing Material Collections while giving buyers a clear path to the underlying material technology and supply route.

Spectrum Collection

Spectrum expresses the vivid, continuously changing visual language associated with Photonic Series. It remains part of the existing Collections library rather than becoming a fifth Material Series.

Simple Trial Pricing

Three clear ways to start.

Choose a low-cost tube or bar trial, a thin development sheet, or a larger machining sheet. Every option uses an existing Carbonaurum mold and can be ordered as one piece.

Available Thickness Range1.0–30.0 mm

How to SpecifyLength × Width × Thickness

For an existing sheet length-and-width mold, specify the required thickness in 0.5 mm increments—for example 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 mm and upward to 30.0 mm. The prices below are transparent reference examples, not the limit of available thicknesses.

One-Piece Material Trial

See it, machine it and test it before scaling.

Existing-mold sheet and tube specifications can be ordered from one piece, helping designers, independent brands and development teams evaluate a new material with minimal initial commitment.

Photonic appearance cannot be judged from one screen image alone. A physical trial lets the buyer evaluate light response, machining, exposed surface area and final polishing in the real product context.

Special dimensions, new molds, custom effects and project-specific development are reviewed separately and may require a different minimum.

Photonic Series FAQ

Questions before optical-material sampling.

The purpose of sampling is to evaluate the material as it will appear in the finished product—not only in a catalog image.

What makes Photonic Series different from conventional colored forged carbon?

Photonic Series is designed around angle- and light-responsive optical behavior. Conventional Color Series focuses on established visible color directions, while Photonic material can reveal changing spectral tones as the product moves.

What does “Patent Pending” mean on this page?

It means a patent application is pending for the relevant Carbonaurum development. It does not mean a patent has already been granted, and the material is not described here as patented.

Can we really order only one piece?

Yes. Photonic sheets and tubes made with an existing Carbonaurum mold can be purchased from one piece, subject to the selected specification and current production availability. New sizes, new molds and special development projects are quoted separately.

How quickly can an existing-mold order ship?

Most existing-mold sheet and tube orders can be ready to ship in approximately 1–2 weeks after the specification and order are confirmed. The exact dispatch date is provided before payment.

Do you offer a lower price for bulk production?

Yes. The published one-, three- and five-piece prices support trials and small development orders. For larger confirmed quantities, Carbonaurum provides a lower bulk production unit price based on the selected specification and order volume.

Which Photonic product formats are currently available?

Sheets and tubes using existing Carbonaurum mold specifications are the available starting formats shown on this page. Blocks, rods, new dimensions and custom components require a feasibility review.

Will every sheet and finished part look identical?

No. Forged-carbon distribution creates natural variation, and the optical response also changes with angle, lighting, cutting direction and surface finish. Representative samples should be approved before production planning.

How do we request Photonic samples?

Send your application, approximate part dimensions, exposed viewing area, desired finish and estimated demand through the Contact page. Carbonaurum will review the most suitable sheet sample and next development step.
